I am The Gamer Fool and I am a fool for games. Here at The Fool Review, I will be reviewing as many games as I can and I will always give you my fool opinion. Retail, free, open source, MMO, it doesn't matter if it's a game and I play it I'll review it for your enjoyment to read here.
You may ask, "What qualifications does this fool have for reviewing games?"
Honestly I don't know what qualifications are needed; What makes someone qualified to review games?
Experience?
I was born in 1980, my father brought home his first PC in 1980; I have been playing computer games my entire life. I have enjoyed such games as Leisure Suit Larry, King's Quest, Space Quest, and the Quest for Glory Series back when it was called Heroe's Quest. You could say growing up I was a large fan of Sierra. I played many other games as well, I wish I could recall them all, games like: Oregon Trail, Number Munchers, Q*bert, Mech Warrior, Doom, Spear of Destiny, and many others.
I have owned and do own a very extensive collection of computer games, console games, and I love playing games I find on the web (especially those that are free). Over time I will compile a list of every game that I currently own and also include those that I remember owning (before the disks got demagnetized by time, damaged in moving, loaned the friends who never returned them, or were just plain lost).
Education?
I am currently going to college for a Game Simulation and Programming degree. I have already finished classes that require me to review games, analyze them, that require me to take apart games and see what makes them tick.
Desire?
I love analyzing games, taking them apart and seeing how they tick, finding their flaws, their bugs, exploits, and areas that they are lacking, and I love thinking of ways that they could have been better. I hope to one day be the lead designer for a blockbuster game one day.
What qualifies someone to review games?
I don't know: I'm just a gamer fool!
